My New Year Goals for 2019

Every New Year for me begins with loads of expectations, new goals and milestones to achieve and this year is no exception to it. Last year saw me put up some goals to complete and have successfully completed them as well.

Without wasting much time .here’s the resolutions and goals for 2019 for me.

Start a Non-technical Blog and share experiences

For the last 10 years, I have blogging on technology and I have always wanted to write something non-technical in nature. Hence, I have started this blog so that I can focus writing on lifestyle, fashion, food and anything that is non-technical. I hope I can write at least one blog every day henceforth.

Learn Car Driving and get the insurance as well as Buy a Car.

Although Manchester has much better services for commuting (Bus, Tram and Trains), having a car makes things much easier for travelling. Currently, I travel mostly with friend in a car from Farnworth, Bolton to Trafford Park and when I occasionally take a bus via Stagecoach. Although I have the Driving license for the Car issued in India, it is valid only for the 1st year of my stay in UK. I have applied for the provisional UK driving license and received it as well. Its high time that I get trained via the driving school in UK to understand the rules and if possible buy a second hand car and use it for few years before getting a new one. The reason being is simple. The car insurances for the new drivers in UK pretty high and have to work out on a plan to save some GBPJ. I will write a detailed post when this goal is achieved.

Here’s the DVLA website where you can know more about driving in UK.

ECB Umpiring Course

Cricket has been one of my passion from my childhood days. I have represented Rajajinagar Colts and Jaidur Cricketers in the KSCA leagues and have also played for my college cricket teams (BHS First Grade College and Christ College). For the last 2 years have been playing for Mellor Cricket Club in the Cheshire League. With being a decent batsman and occasional bowler, I felt taking up the official ECB umpires course would let me know the game better and setup a good career path in the game that I love.

Here’s the Official ECB cricket course website.

Building My Instagram portfolio

Few months back, I had an interesting opportunity for modelling in UK but for some unfortunate reasons, I couldn’t take up the modelling at that time. But in few years down the line, I would like to explore the modelling industry and feel building a good portfolio both on the website and the Instagram would help.

Learn to cook new dishes

I have been learning the art of cooking from last 3 years and this year would like to explore more on cooking. Try out new dishes and blog about them as well.

Bring parents to UK and make a Full UK trip with them

This goal has been there for quite some time. Making a full UK trip along with my parents is well in the cards this year. Would be applying the Standard UK visitor Visa soon for them to get them in to UK.

Write couple of books – Technology driven

I have already co-authored a book “Windows 10 Development recipes” for Apress couple of years back and this year, I would like to write few more books which is already in work. These books would be on Microsoft technologies though.

Did not know what should be my first post for the new blog but listed down few of my goals for 2019.
